Desktop Support Technician
Saskatoon, SK

Are you an experienced IT professional with excellent interpersonal skills? If so, then we have a unique position for you! Our client is currently looking for a Desktop Support Technician for their Saskatoon office for a four month term. This individual should be familiar with most Windows programs and feel comfortable troubleshooting problems over the phone and in person. The successful candidate should be an energetic individual who is confident and highly motivated. If you want to be an integral member of a knowledgeable team, this is the opportunity for you!

The Role:

Provide support for Desktop and Network users in a multi-site wan environment  
Act as a liaison and supply technical support for IS infrastructure
Receive and troubleshoot user calls to successful resolution
Forwards problems to Desktop Analyst when required
Oversee the daily performance of computer systems
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities
Assist personnel by utilizing remote tools
Supply instructional training for personnel as required
The Ideal Candidate:

Good understanding of Desktop / Server hardware and WAN environments
Excellent background in Windows, Microsoft servers and other company standard software
Strong personal communication (both oral and written) and trouble shooting skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
1  2 year relevant experience in maintaining PCs or PC environments
The ability to work both independently and with a team
