You will conduct a broad range of field surveys, including construction, topographic, volumetric, preliminary planning, design, control and non-legal boundary. Responsibilities include accurately recording measurements and other data, preparing field notes, quality control for survey work, and compiling and computing survey data. Depending upon your experience, you may be called upon to conduct field training, supervise the work of Junior Surveyors, act as Crew Chief, and/or provide crew coordination on medium-sized projects.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience with a particular emphasis on construction surveying for large scale natural resource based projects
Diploma in Geomatics Engineering or Surveying Technology, or equivalent field training
Registration as a Professional Survey Technologist is an asset
Experience using AutoCADs Civil3D, Leicas Smartworx, and/or LGO platforms is an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Technical competence and attention to detail
Willingness to work in remote sites for extended periods of time
A high level of dependability
Preference will be given to local candidates or those willing to relocate
