Saskatchewan 4-H and Agriculture in the Classroom
are looking for energetic, dedicated and motivated
individuals to be this years Bite into Summer
Camp Counsellors! The Bite into Summer Camp is all
about exploring agriculture and food security
through hands-on activities, tours, guest speakers
and games. Individuals who are interested in this
position must be able to demonstrate success in a
fast pace and changing environment with the
ability to multitask and have fun!
Responsibilities:
- Attend the camp training session
- Be available for all 2 weeks of camp from July
7-18 at the University of Saskatchewan in
Saskatoon. July 7- 11 is the Junior Day Camp from
8:30 to 4:30pm and July 14-18 is the Intermediate
Overnight Camp.
- Be available to stay overnight between July 14-
18 with the intermediate age group.
- Supervise large groups of youth and be
responsible for their safety and security.
- Create a fun environment.
- Communicate effectively with campers, their
families and other staff members.
- Work with other staff to ensure the camp runs
smoothly and is fun for the campers.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
environment
- High School or University student
- Minimum age of 16
- Previous experience related to working with
youth
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate
- Must have own mode of transportation
