Working under the direction of the President CEO or academic designate, the Faculty/Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning and preparation, instruction, and evaluation of a course(s) as well as instructional counseling, academic advising and evaluating student?s work. This position will involve some travel to several northern communities to supervise students out in the school placement. The related activities include serving on various committees and working closely with administration, other faculty, and students in facilitating an academic environment that honors and respects the growing cultural diversity in northern Saskatchewan.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will possess:
. A Bachelor of Education degree and sufficient progress towards or completion of a Masters
degree.
. 4 years of previous teaching experience at the K-12 level and experience as a cooperating
teacher is an asset.
. University teaching experience will be considered.
. Knowledge of northern Saskatchewan communities and schools is critical to this position.
. Strong organizational skills, communication skills and writing skills.
. Willing to work flexible hours.
. Ability to speak a northern Aboriginal language is an asset.
. Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
. Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Clearance.
