Corrpro Canada is looking for a Corrosion Technician II (6 month contract) in Estevan, SK.
Responsibilities
Complete project management including all communications, training/organizing/directing staff and ensuring project completion on time/budget. Data collection/scrubbing/preparation. Plan/make recommendations/problem solving for cathodic protection survey, performing duties such as measuring of test points to ensure line is meeting NACE & client's mV criteria & rectifier inspection/troubleshooting/repairs/adjustments to deliver the required amount of protective current to the pipelines. Conduct weekly toolbox meetings. Operate/maintain company/rental vehicles & equipment. Identifying, photographing & recording deficiencies. Capable of working alone & following safe work procedures. Calibrating/ensuring proper operation of testing equipment including trimble units, tablets, multimeters and half cell reference electrodes.
Qualifications
NACE CP1 certification. Previous experience with gas pipeline distribution systems. Min. 1 year experience with cathodic protection testing & leadership experience. Must have experience with trimble units & be proficient with MS Excel. Be able to effectively communicate with both customers, general public & field staff. Adjust to work-related demands without becoming frustrated. Demonstrate conscientiousness & dependability to produce results. Must be able to travel including significant overnight travel & overtime regularly. Must be willing to take a pre-employment drug & medical test. Must have valid class 5 license or equivalent & clean drivers abstract.
Working Conditions
Overtime and high volume of work required.
The wage range is $26-35/hr
