Prairie Plant Systems, a leader in plant based technologies, is seeking a self-driven individual to join the maintenance team in a permanent full-time position. As the Company continues to grow at an exponential pace, the maintenance technician is responsible for general building maintenance and routine preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge and experience with Boiler and HVAC systems.

Primary Responsibilities
    Monitor and control computer based integrated control systems that operate lighting, watering and HVAC in a large sophisticated growth chamber operation.
    Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC equipment.
    Repair or replace defective equipment and/or components when possible.
    Preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment.
    Operate equipment for loading, unloading and yard maintenance including forklift, skidsteer, and various agriculture related equipment.
    On call for monitoring HVAC on a rotating schedule.
    New construction, carpentry, painting etc. as required.

Qualifications

    Trade experience with preferably 2-5 years of general maintenance experience.
    General HVAC knowledge will be considered an asset
    BMS experience considered an asset.
    Basic computer skills-excel data entry etc.
    Certification to operate various types of equipment considered an asset.

Salary will be based on skill levels and education. PPS offers a comprehensive benefits package. Incumbents will be required to pass a Government of Canada Security check, a criminal record check, a pre-employment drug test, and must hold Canadian Citizenship or Landed Immigrant Status.
