Description

Reporting directly to VP Construction, and based in Saskatoon, you are accountable for subcontractor supply chain development and management. This includes compiling cost estimates to clients and/or potential clients regarding our products and services, and performing evaluations, analysis and qualifications on new and potential subcontractors.  
  
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Assess scope of project to determine subcontractors, material, labour, equipment and time required
- Obtain and analyze quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Negotiate prices and terms with construction suppliers and vendors
- Create and prepare cost budgets
- Update and maintain an accurate cost database
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, engineering and quality assurance, to identify new subcontractors or vendors
- Monitor and track subcontractor performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Meet with subcontractor or vendors to discuss performance metrics, provide performance feedback and/or discuss production forecasts or changes

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or a related discipline or several years experience in a similar industrial/construction type role
- Knowledge of construction, project management and cost controls
- 8 or more years experience in a related field
- Designated Certified Supply Chain Professional is an asset
