AMECs Mining & Metals Business Unit currently has a exciting opportunity available for a Senior Structural Engineer in our Saskatoon office. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast paced environment, this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities:
Providing structural design and technical support including calculations, weld design, design drawing review, field investigations, and solutions for the construction or repair of industrial buildings, facilities, and services.
Writing specifications and contract documents.
Reviewing project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.
Developing and maintaining positive, sustainable client relationships.
Coordinating and working with project team members.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural design.
Registered or have the ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Saskatchewan.
Minimum 10 years experience working on mining and/or heavy industrial projects is an asset
Broad scope of knowledge of civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods.
Material design experience, which may include experience in the use of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or wood.
Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
Team-oriented and a creative thinker.
