Position Summary:

Takes orders for Meat Department merchandise; slices and prepares merchandise, such as meat.  Prepares chicken by using rotisserie oven and deep fryer; and fills prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display area and specialty orders from Customers as required.

Merchandising:
Assists in maintaining accurate and competitive pricing by electronically verifying prices by scanning UPC codes to ensure the accuracy of signing.  Ensures Meat Department is stocked by properly receiving and stocking merchandise on racks, shelves and displays, including regularly pulling and bringing merchandise forward, storing according to procedures, retrieving merchandise from freezers and coolers, placing merchandise in appropriate locations in displays and shelves, and removing distressed or unacceptable merchandise to be disposed of or processed for claims.
