Description

Reporting directly to the Health Program Manager with clinical supervision provided by Saskatoon Tribal Council Focus on Families Program Coordinator, the Focus on Families Family Enhancement Home Visitor will work closely with the Focus on Families Home Visitor and is responsible for carrying out the duties as outlined herein.

DUTIES
1.Adhere to the Personnel Policy as set out by the Yellow Quill Chief and Council;
2.Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines at all times;
3.Must understand, support and participate in the community enhancement initiatives in working towards the vision of Yellow Quill First Nation which improves the quality of life;
4.Carry out culturally appropriate strategies for pregnant women and families with infants and young children based on best practices;
5.Assist in providing intensive prenatal outreach services to pregnant women using drugs and/or alcohol;
6.Conduct all tasks with regard to any and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures;
7.Support the provision of educational and awareness workshops, parenting programs, ceremonies, healing/talking circles and support programs that are based on the needs and priorities of pregnant women and families with infants and young children;  
8.Support parents in time of crisis and/or stress and provide basic counselling, guidance and support;
9.Maintain current, accurate, and complete case documentation to professional standards;

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Certificate or Diploma in a social/health science, human services discipline or related field.
2.A minimum of two years working with women (pre and post-natal) and families.
3.Must have a valid Saskatchewan drivers license and reliable vehicle and meet community insurance requirements.
4.Must have a clear current CPIC (Canadian Criminal Records Check), which identifies a vulnerable sectors check.
5.Be able to work flexible hours (weekends or after hours).
