The supervisor/team leader will ideally have worked in the mattress industry for a minimum of 4 years. Relevant work experience includes positions such as a service technician, maintenance technician, production coordinator or senior operator. Experience handling order entry, purchasing, accounting, logistics or sales is also helpful.
While experience gained in other industries is useful, we are seeking a candidate that has worked for a firm producing mattress products.
The team leader contributes to the success of manufacturing operations by:
- planning and scheduling daily work
- coordinating activities
- balancing work load within the team
- performing quality assurance and solving problems
- training and upgrading employees
- leading process of installation, maintenance and repair of equipment
He or she may have some solo operating responsibility, and may support other team members as the "second pair of hands" in certain production, maintenance, repair situations.
Our team leader will work closely with others to insure that the team consistently achieves expected quality, cost and delivery targets. He or she will be a role model for best practices.
The team leader will log and submit ideas and solutions for product and process improvement, and work with other team members to achieve new goals. He or she may train teammates with respect to job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
