Reporting to the Health & Safety Coordinator, this position is responsible for the following duties:
Perform client assessment, planning, implementation of care, and on-going evaluation of patient (s)
Administrate the medical surveillance program (annual testing/annual medicals) for compliance with regulatory and company requirements
Liaise with the company doctor to maintain a standing order manual for routine and emergency medical needs
Facilitate First Aid training and other health and wellness related information sessions
Manage preventive health programs including immunizations
Revise and create procedures and work instructions within the Integrated Quality Management System
Participate in emergency training exercises with the Emergency Response Team
Support the Radiation Protection Group with administration of the bioassay program
Provide sample collection for substance testing in support of the Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Program
Administer the Direct Observed Therapy (DOT) procedure for clients with Tuberculosis
Perform sutures if certified by a doctor (RN)
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in Saskatchewan, preferably with occupational health experience and/or northern nursing experience
Spirometry, ECG, and Audiometry Certification or equivalent experience
Basic Trauma Life Support (Intermediate or Advanced) preferred
Familiarity with Employee Family Assistance Program
First Aid Instructors Certificate preferred
Ability to assign directions to assisting ERT members

Work Location & Schedule: McClean Lake minesite; 7 days in/7 days out
Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Camsel Portage, Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac and Wollaston
