Position Details:
Temporary Full-Time School Counsellor

Term:
November 2013 to June 30, 2014
  
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree or equivalent in social work, social sciences, or a related human services field  
Additional qualifications and/or experience in a behavior related field will be considered an asset
School experience working with children in Grades 5 to 12 will be considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow direction
Must work well with others and independently
Excellent time management skills
Strong organizational skills

Duties:
Provide direct counselling services to students to support academic success, conduct home visitations and other duties as outlined on our website in Administrative Procedure 450 - School Counsellor: Role and Responsibilities.

Salary:
In accordance with the current out of scope board approved salary grid.
