Description

HR generalist working closely with HR Manager.
Responsible for implementing and managing
attendance management; including all leaves,
planning and facilitating return to work plans,
accommodation requests, staff absences, providing
advise and guidance to administrators and
communicating and ensuring consistent application
of policies, procedures and collective agreements.
Provide general administrative and clerical
support- data input and inquiry on HRIS system,
word processing and spreadsheet preparation for
senior administration and ensure full utilization
of current systems.
Assist and support implementation of the human
resource strategy and responsible for data input
and reporting of the School Division's Strategic
Plan;
Support full utilization of recruitment
application software.
Prepare employment contracts.
Manage sensitive and confidential employee and
organizational information as well as being
familiar with LAFOIP,
Support the HR Manager regarding the
application/interpretation of all relevant HR
policies, procedures, collective agreements,
legislation, practices and processes ensuring
compliance.
Assist in the research and development of
administrative procedures and processes to realize
improvements and organizational efficiencies,
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive
attitude,
Ability to work independently with a diverse group
of employees,
Strong ability to simplify, problem solve,
organize and communicate information in a clear
and concise manner,
Familiar with legislation, knowledge of unionized
workplaces and labour law,
Knowledge of computer applications (HRIS and
recruitment software) and strong computer skills
in Microsoft Office.

Degree or diploma, CHRP designation or the desire
to obtain a CHRP designation.
