Work Setting: -Busy self serve gas bar with convenience store and carwash
Duties: -Greet customer service -Establish or identify price of goods, services or admission and tabulate total payment required using electronic or other cash register, optical price scanner or other equipment -Receive & process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit -Place merchandise in bags -Provide information to customers -Calculate total payments received at end of work shift & reconcile with total sales -May also stock shelves, coolers & clean work area. -Promote sales of products at the cash register -Sell carwashes & explain to customers how to use if they have difficulty using it. -Solve minor customer complains. -Change Fuel prices when required. -Be alert & verify age by checking proper ID while selling tobacco & related products. -Attend phone calls from vendors, customers & officials.
Essential Skills: Oral communication; continuous learning; able to use, implement & maintain the high customer satisfaction, safety & operational standard; balance the cash register transactions. Solve minor customer complaints.
