Education
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other related
discipline with a major in human resources. Several years of directly related experience and training may be considered.
Experience
Previous experience in a human resource department would be preferred. Experience working with many diverse situations and personalities.
Knowledge
Knowledge of SIGA's guiding principles, structure, and First Nations culture.
Knowledge of human resources policies, procedures and best practices.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and JD Edwards (or similar HRIS).
Skills and Abilities
Ability to support change with optimism and openness.
Ability to exercise judgement regarding day-to-day priorities and situations.
Ability to work independently, be reliable, and take personal responsibility for tasks and deadlines.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments and units.
Typing and data entry skills, with a strict focus on accuracy.
Ability to be discreet in handling confidential information.
Ability to gather, interpret, and prepare accurate information in a timely manner
