Reporting to the Director of Acute Care Services, Lloydminster
Hospital, the successful candidate is accountable for the day-to-
day management and coordination of the Emergency Department
at the Lloydminster Hospital. The Lloydminster Hospital is a 68
bed regional acute care facility situated in Lloydminster,
Saskatchewan.
This position is responsible for the management and supervision
of the Emergency Department. This includes the provision of
high quality care to patients/families in accordance with the
philosophy and policies of Prairie North Health Region, and
provincial guidelines and standards.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and be a
Registered Nurse in good standing with the Saskatchewan
Registered Nurses Association; must have recognized
certification in critical care nursing. Three to five years acute
care nursing experience is required. Preference will be given to
those applicants with managerial experience. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nursing Core
Course (TNCC) certification would be an asset.
Excellent verbal communication skills as well as strong
interpersonal skills are a must. The individual must be able to
establish and maintain good working relations with all levels of
staff and be able to independently establish priorities and meet
deadlines.
