Applications are invited for the position of a permanent full-time (8.0 hr/day-12 months) Outreach Worker at LP Miller Comprehensive School with duties to commence as soon as can be mutually agreed upon.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Integrated Services and the principal of LP Miller School, the successful applicant will work closely with school administration, staff, parents, the community, and other agencies to implement and coordinate programs for at-risk children attending LP Miller as well as develop and implement effective strategies that will support all children and youth.
To qualify as an Outreach Worker II, the successful candidate will possess:
-a bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology from a recognized post secondary institution
-experience working with aboriginal children and youth
-experience working with at-risk youth and their families
-strong organizational skills
-be willing to work a flexible schedule
-a valid driver's licence with access to a motor vehicle
