The Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum are looking for two (2) energetic and enthusiastic summer students who are looking to advance their skills in educational and recreational programming. Your primary responsibilities will be to research, develop, and deliver programs and day camps for children ages 5-12. The programs are both educational and recreational, and focus strongly on history, culture, science, and nature. As part of the programming team, you will also be responsible for developing and facilitating drop-in programs, birthday parties, childrens clubs, and special events as required.
The ideal candidates will have:
knowledge of primary educational practices
lesson and/or program planning experience
experience working with young children
excellent communication skills
ability to work in a team environment
creativity and enthusiasm
To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 15 years of age, legally entitled to work in Canada, be enrolled at the time of employment in a secondary or post-secondary school or institution, and returning to full-time studies after employment.
