Teaching Assistant
We require a Teaching Assistant at our south location who is excellent at working with preprimary children (aged 2.5-6). An ability to be able to supervise both preprimary and elementary children (Grades 1-6) during extended hours care is an asset. A good understanding in Montessori philosophy is preferred. Montessori training and/or first aid certificate are assets but not required. You are personable, patient, organized, a good teamworker and are thrilled when children learn on their own. The Teaching Assistant will be expected to cover our extended hours programs in the mornings, over lunch and some after school. The position is Monday to Friday, 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 pm with a lunch break at 12:00 a.m. This is a maternity leave cover position in our south location from March 18, 2013 to June 30, 2013 and from the end of August to the end of November 2013 with the possibility of extension of contract.
