Public Health & CPNP Nutritionist (Degree Senior)
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Population Health Services the Nutritionist has the responsibility to provide consultative, counseling, teaching and education services to individuals, community groups, health professionals, and other professional groups to promote, protect and support the nutritional health of the population as well as prevent nutrition related disease within the Regional Health Authority (RHA). The Nutritionist will be responsible for providing nutritional support services to two Canadian Prenatal Nutrition Programs.
Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in Public Health Nutrition or Community Nutrition is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition with a Dietetic Internship in addition to community experience will be accepted.
Must be eligible for membership with the Saskatchewan Dieticians Association.
Understanding of Health and Cultural lifestyle/issues affecting northern aboriginal people.
A team builder capable of inspiring staff, developing networks and community support.
Proficient in the use of computers i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet, power point.
Fluency in Cree or Dene would be considered an asset, as would awareness of aboriginal culture(s) and cross-cultural dynamics.
Valid Driver's License
