Description

North East School Division invites applications to fill three summer student positions in various locations throughout our division.  Starting date is approximately May 1 to August 31, 2013 for positions in Melfort, Tisdale and Nipawin.

Job Description: working on school projects, painting, and minor repairs, assisting maintenance staff, operating grass cutting equipment plus other equipment and duties as assigned.    

Position 1:    Located in Tisdale with the Facilities Department

Position 2:      Located in Melfort with the Facilities Department  

Position 3:      Located in Nipawin with the Facilities Department

MUST HAVE
-Valid driver's license.
-Ability to do Medium Load Work which inlcudes:
  *exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally (lifting and/or carrying)
  *exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently
  *exerting up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects
-Ability to work independently
-Clear criminal record required
-Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union

Preference will be given to post secondary students with diverse skills that could help with everything from working on school projects, grass cutting, painting etc. We would encourage grade 12 students to apply also. Students who successfully completed the 2012 summer employment period or have previously worked for the division will be considered for future summer employment.
