Reporting to the Executive Assistant, this
position is responsible for providing casual
administrative support services to the Northern
Campus, including answering a telephone
switchboard; typing a variety of documents using
MS Word, Excel or Access; data entry; recording
meeting minutes and transcribing; filing;
photocopying and faxing documents; greeting and
directing incoming visitors and students to
appropriate staff; recording and distributing
incoming/outgoing mail, re-organizing bookcases,
supplies, and storage, and other duties as
assigned.
The candidate will have Grade 12 or equivalent;
one year recognized office education certificate;
and over six months of administrative experience;
keyboarding 50 wpm with a high degree of accuracy;
strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications
(MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook);
ability to work independently and maintain
confidentiality; ability to communicate
effectively, both orally and in writing; strong
organizational and interpersonal skills; attention
to detail; ability to speak a First Nations
language would be considered an asset; must be
bondable.
Rate of Pay: $17.49/hour (CUPE Pay Grade 3)
The successful candidate for this position will be
considered casual and will be called in as needed.
