Description

The Chief Paskwa Education Center is an academic facility loctaed on Pasqua First Nation that offers instruction from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

The Circle of Care Health Centre is a wellness centre located in the Core area of Pasqua First Nation. The facility offers many services to members. This facility also houses the Daycare Program.

Responsible to the Coordinator of the Circle of Care Coordinator and to the principal at Chief Paskwa Education Centre:

Duties:

- Responsible for both intervention and prevention services
- Provide counselling/crisis intervention services
- Making referrals to other affiliated agencies when appropriate
- Plan and provide aftercare programs
- Participate in case management sessions with other professionals
- Provide workshops and training to the PFN membership
- Submit timely reports
- Monthly written reports to Chief and Council
- Report to the Education/Health Committee members
- Provide professional counselling services, both personal and career to students at CPEC
- Home visits with parents may be required
- Documentation and reports required

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary degree in Social Work/Counselling
- Ability to provide workshops and educational programs
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity, good judgment, ability to communicate effectively
- Extensive experience in working on a First Nation and understanding issues encountered by First Nations people
- C-PIC required with application
- Oath of Confidentiality to be signed upon job offer
- Computer literate
- Be a team player

Requirements:

- Driver's license
- Dependable vehicle
- Submit a drug test prior to commencement of employment
- Must submit a Vulnerable Sector Check
