The primary purpose of the AVP, Financial Reporting and Analysis is to provide strategic direction and operational leadership in the delivery of efficient and effective financial management and reporting, variance analysis and timely and accurate financial statement preparation to Concentra Financial and its stakeholders. This position will be accountable to provide overall leadership to all aspects of the Financial Reporting and Analysis business unit within the Financial Management & Reporting department.
Key Outcomes and Responsibilities:
Lead the business support functions to support the overall business and to maximize performance and return on shareholder equity by standardizing tools and processes to support performance measurement and decisions affecting balance sheet and business structure; and ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting principles and consistency of industry standards by providing oversight to the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Oversee the development and enhancement of methodologies for financial statements, financial reporting and analysis, variance reporting and accounting services. This includes leading existing business processes and developing new processes that have a centralized and integrated approach to planning, decision support and financial analysis. You will design, develop and maintain effective policies, programs and processes that result in high quality and timely financial statements preparation and financial analysis. The successful incumbent will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive financial management experience or equivalent education and experience complimented by an Accounting or Finance professional designation (CA, CGA, CMA or CFA).
