Haztech is currently seeking a Registered Nurse in the Esterhazy, SK area for Temporary Full Time coverage February 11-15. Additional opportunities available at other Saskatchewan locations on an ongoing basis.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide superior health and occupational health services, first-aid, case management for sick or injured employees and assess those who return to work after a medical absence. Responsible for Workers' Compensation case management. Coordinate site Return To Work services for STD, LTD, Fit for Duty and Workers' Compensation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Provide triage, assessment and nursing care and follow up of injured and ill employees
-Medical management of Return To Work services for STD, LTD, Fit for Duty and Workers' Compensations in collaboration with operations, employee, medical care providers, TPA and HR
-Compliance of Hearing & Lung Function testing and Respiratory Fit Testing to employees as per regulations
-Maintaining First Aid supplies, Health Center stock and equipment
-Document and maintain confidential medical records
CRITICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/DUTIES
-Able to work independently with minimal daily direction
-Self-starter with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
-Ability to manage multiple areas of accountability
EDUCATION
-Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse with the SRNA
-First Aid/CPR /AED certification
-Spirometry, Audiometric, Respirator Fit Technician an asset
EXPERIENCE
-3+ years as a Registered Nurse
-Background in Occupational Medicine an asset
-Experience handling workers' compensation cases or case management an asset
