We are looking for a professional, caring and
enthusiastic EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR at the Scott
Infant and Toddler Centre, located in the Scott
Collegiate High School.
Working during the school calendar year, the
successful candidate should have the following
qualifications:
-ECE Level 1, 2 or 3
-Clear Police Record Check and Child Abuse Record
Check
-First Aid & CPR
-Basic Food Handling Certificate (can arrange to
do this at hire)
-Knowledge of INFANT & TODDLER development is a
must:
-Ability to develop and implement programs and
activities.
- Ability to assess child's developmental needs
and program accordingly.
-Knowledge of adolescent development:
- Able to build rapport with parents
attending High School.
- Serve as a positive role model for the
parents.
- Encourage and support the parent's
educational goals.
-Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
-Able to work within the infant & toddler ratios,
as established by the Province.
-Willingness to continue to educate self through
workshops, conferences and professional
development days.
-Demonstrate cross-cultural sensitivity.
