Sun West School Division invites applications for an Educational Assistant in Biggar Central School 2000, Biggar, SK.  This is a temporary position, 2.5 hours per day, Monday to Thursday, starting as soon as possible and ending June 14, 2013. The tentative schedule will be 10:30-11:45 a.m. and 1:00-2:15 p.m..

This position works as a collaborative member of a team providing assistance to teachers in the delivery and implementation of educational programs and services that facilitate the integration, growth, learning, safety and comfort of students with special needs. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with special needs students, youth with learning disabilities, those on modified and alternate programs, and those with health and behavior-related issues. The individual will assist in the classroom as well as providing pull-out support for individual or small group assistance. The individual will be required to provide personal care and assist with lifting and/or transferring of students.

Salary and benefits for this position will be in accordance with the current Collective Agreement of CUPE Local 4802.

Wage Range: $14.33 to $16.85 per hour
