Applications are invited for the position of 1.00 FTE (5.5 hours/day) Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant at Reynolds School with duties to commence February 25, 2013.

Duties:
Core function will be to provide assistance to classroom teachers with particular emphasis on helping special needs students.

Qualifications:
-Minimum Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution or (GED) is required.
-Formal post-secondary training/experience as an educational assistant or comparable work experience would be considered an asset, along with the ability to work as part of an instructional team.
-Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
-Demonstrated empathy for students with exceptional needs will be considered a requirement for potential applicants.
-Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union.
