Description
Responsible for implementing all facets of safety program.
Ensures that accident and loss prevention policies are fully understood by all workers
Orientation of New Hires to work environment and hazards therein.
Oversee maintenance of safety equipment, fire extinguishers, breathing ensure breathing apparatus are maintained to manufacturer's standards.
Ensure that emergency equipment is in serviceable condition at all times.
See that all safety equipment used meets industry standards.
Train or arrange training for all employees in safety programs required to improve workplace performance.
Deal with enforcement of Government and Company rules concerned with Accident prevention and to set an example by strict personal observance of said rules.
Coordinate efforts with Occupational Health & Safety Division of Saskatchewan Labor to promote quality environment for workers.
Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents involving company personnel or equipment to determine all facts related to the occurrence and to establish corrective measures and procedural or equipment changes required to prevent recurrence.
To ensure that corrective actions identified and required under inspection reports are taken promptly and properly.
Be aware of safety records of each rig crew and support and encourage the crews in their efforts to improve upon existing records.
Perform Internal Safety Audits on an annual basis to assess effectiveness of actions and programs.
