Description

The Town of Kindersley is seeking a Manager of Recreation and Culture, effective immediately, to provide programming and event planning in all recreation & cultural facilities. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Community Services.
Primary responsibilities include:
-Responsible for all cultural, sport and recreation programming
-Facility bookings and schedules; including two community halls, our outdoor Aquatic Centre and the West Central Events Centre (two ice surfaces/athletic walking track/various meeting room space)
-Special event planning
-Prepare regular monthly reports
-Coordinate and supervise staff for implementation of Town programs
-Support for volunteer organizations based out of Town facilities

Required Skills and Qualifications:
-Excellent communication and public relations skills
-Exceptional time management and organizational skills
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs preferred
-Experience in supervising volunteers and employees is an asset
-Proven ability to develop and maintain recreation and culture programs
-Ability to work with staff, Council, the public and other enforcement authorities
-Post-secondary education in Recreation/Culture Programming or equivalent experience
-Aquatic experience an asset. Courses such as Water Safety Instructor Trainer, National Lifeguard Trainer, First Aid Instructor
-Essential qualities - enthusiasm, energy and the desire to succeed!

The incumbent must possess a valid drivers license.
