Description
HIV Outreach Worker
Working with the HIV Mentor, the Outreach Worker will provide stabilization supports and harm reduction services for HIV positive and at risk individuals involved in the street trade and within the street involved population in Regina. Outreach services include transportation to appointments, assistance in securing basic necessities, referrals, advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling and the provision of related health information. The incumbent will also provide case management support, maintain confidential client records, daily log books, compile regular reports, participate in relevant communities, and participate in educational presentations.
Driver's License required. Chemical Dependency Diploma, Social Work or Nursing Degree.
Experience: Practical experience, stability, 2-3 years experience in the Social Services field.
