Job Summary: The Home Care Manager, under the general direction of the Director of Home Care, is responsible for the overall management of Home Care Program within the geographic assessment area assigned. The Home Care Manager (Home Health Aides) is accountable for management and supervision of the Home Support Services in the Yorkton area. As a team leader the Home Care Manager will direct the Home Care staff in the most cost-effective manner to deliver quality care. The Home Care Manager is also accountable for supervising, evaluating and directing field staff. Other managerial functions will include but may not be limited to, assessing client needs, hospital discharge planning, developing and coordinating care plans as well as being the client?s advocate overseeing scheduling, billing and payroll services.
Qualifications/Experience: Baccalaureate Degree, Diploma in Nursing and/or Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate Must be eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association, Registered Psychiatric Association of Saskatchewan or Licensed with SALPN Experience in Home Care Experience in administrative or supervisory capacity an asset Good communication skills and proven organizational and leadership skills Ability to function as a team member and to be proactive and creative in decision making in absence of direct supervision Computer skills - intermediate level preferred
Hours of Work: 24 hours in a 1 week rotation Days, with the exception of stat holidays; on call required
