Description
Members of this team are responsible for reading meters and recording customer electric and gas consumption as well as maintaining appropriate forms and reporting. Skills of Meter Readers include the ability to perform physically demanding work. Meter Readers are responsible for both rural and urban reads and may be required to travel to other regions depending on changing work loads.
Successful applicants will have a grade 12 diploma or equivalent; must provide own vehicle, and possess a valid Class 5 Drivers Licence. Customer service work, involving answering customer inquiries and working knowledge of personal computer and various software applications, is a part of this job. This position falls within the scope of the Communications, Energy, and Paperworkers Union (CEP), Local 649. The hourly rate of pay is $23.89.
