Position Details:
Temp. Part Time
Assignment:
6 hours daily at Victoria School
Term:
To commence December 3, 2012 unless alternate date established
Qualifications:
Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
A diploma or certificate in an Educational Assistant or related post-secondary program is required however not mandatory upon commencement of employment. In accordance with Administrative Procedure 400 - Staff Recruitment and Selection, if the successful candidate has not completed the appropriate training, he or she will be required to enroll in a Board approved post-secondary course related to special education programs prior to the completion of their probationary period. Experience as an educational assistant with special needs will be considered an asset.
Duties:
Duties include supporting students with special needs and other duties as outlined on our website in Administrative Procedure 431 - Duties and Responsibilities of Educational Assistants.
Salary & Benefits:
In accordance with the current CUPE Local 4784 Collective Agreement (as listed on our website).
