YMCA Before & After School Site Staff
Department: Community Development
Direct Supervisor: Staff Co-ordinator of School
Based Programs
The YMCA of Regina Before and After School Program
provides quality childcare for school aged
children on
school premises before and after regular school
hours , as well as on Teacher PD days at the
downtown and northwest YMCAs.
As a B & A Site Staff you are expected to, but
shall not be limited to:
Instructing a groups of 10-15 children in
grades 1-6.
Implementing lesson plans for all classes.
Communicating with parents: updates,
progress reports etc.
Provide Students with homework assistance.
Reading, writing and speaking skills.
Communicating with Director and
Coordinators regarding students, parents and
supplies needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in youth leadership.
Experience working with school aged
children, Grades 1-6.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle several tasks at once.
Well-developed communication skills both
oral and written.
First Aid, free training offered.
Be a leader for staff and youth.
Self motivated & able to work well
independently and as part of a team.
Be available to work flexible hours,
Monday to Friday and a willingness to work in
various locations throughout the city.
Must provide current criminal record
check.

Wage: to be discussed upon hiring
Hours of work: Monday-Friday 6:55am-9:00am &
3:15pm-6:00pm
