The Ministry of the Economy brings together a number of the economic functions of government, including Enterprise Saskatchewan, Innovation Saskatchewan and Tourism Saskatchewan, as well as employment, immigration, trade, energy and resources. The Ministry is currently seeking a dynamic and objective individual who is a flexible team player for the position of Senior Tourism Analyst. Reporting to the Executive Director of the Tourism Initiatives Branch, this position will work within a team that is called upon to provide strategic leadership, direction, advice and recommendations regarding provincial government policy, planning and stewardship relating to the tourism industry.
As a Senior Tourism Analyst, you will have a role in strengthening the Ministry's capacity in the area of socio-economic development as it pertains to the tourism industry. You will undertake research studies and inter-jurisdictional reviews; develop strategies for monitoring and evaluating programs; and recommend policy and program changes to achieve strategic goals. You will be responsible for working with other ministries and agencies to develop and contribute to strategies to grow the tourism industry in Saskatchewan. You will have a responsibility to develop position papers, Cabinet submissions, briefings and correspondence. You will also provide support for program management and contract administration.
