Description
The Ministry of the Economy is seeking a self-motivated and confident engineer to join the Engineering Services Branch in Regina. Reporting to a Senior Engineer, Manager of Pipelines and Regulatory Section, you will perform advanced petroleum engineering functions with respect to the exploration, development, production, and transportation of crude oil and natural gas. You will conduct engineering evaluations of proposals submitted by the petroleum industry to ensure regulatory requirements related to the management, conservation, and transportation, of oil and gas resources are met. You will perform research and provide advice on unique proposals and initiatives related to the petroleum industry.
To qualify for this position, you will require a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in the petroleum, geological or environmental disciplines, and be registered (or provide proof of eligibility for registration) in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. You will have a sound knowledge of and direct experience in petroleum engineering as well as standards and legislation governing the oil and gas industry.
