Saskatchewan Finance has a challenging term opportunity for a highly motivated, responsible, and well-organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills to provide administrative support to the new Central Accounts Payable Unit.
You will perform a variety of senior administrative duties, including preparing, editing and proofreading confidential documents such as briefing materials, correspondence, and presentations; preparing and maintaining financial forecasts, financial records and reports; scheduling meetings; and, establishing and maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems. You will also be responsible for procurement for the Unit, including purchase card reconciliation.
The successful candidate will have strong computer skills and superior written and verbal communication skills. You will be thorough, conscientious and attentive to detail to ensure quality work; and reliable and discreet in handling confidential material and information. Working in a team environment, you will bring professionalism and diplomacy to your interactions with colleagues, senior officials and clients.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of office management and administrative procedures and protocols; government protocols, policies and procedures including related to purchasing; and, basic financial accounting principles and practices. You will also have demonstrated your ability to independently organize, schedule, coordinate and accurately complete multiple tasks.
Typically, the knowledge required for this position will have been gained through completion of an office administration diploma and/or several years of related experience.
