The Asset Management unit of Saskatchewan Highways and Infrastructure's Central Region is accepting applications for a Bridge Inspector located in Saskatoon.
Bridge Inspectors will plan, direct and organize the collection of accurate and reliable bridge inspection data for bridges on the provincial highway network following the guidelines of the Ontario Structures Inspection Manual (OSIM) and the Ministry's Bridge Inspection Policy. You will independently prepare detailed bridge inspection reports for analysis by a professional engineer. You will perform detailed inspections of other hydraulic structures which include, but are not limited to corrugated steel culverts, concrete box culverts, concrete arch culverts, and wood box culverts. You will be required to create and generate accurate queries and reports as well as engineering drawing using a variety of software programs.
A valid driver's licence is required as you will travel extensively throughout the province and work in a field environment throughout the year. Office to field work is approximately a 50-50 split.
