The Ministry of Justice requires skilled, responsible, confident individuals to work at the Freedom of Information and Privacy (FOIP) Branch in Regina.
The FOIP Branch is seeking candidates who have effective communication and interpersonal skills with a keen sense to detail to provide support in a high volume work environment with tight deadlines that focuses primarily on processing the access to information requests received by Justice. The successful candidates will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of office equipment such as photo copiers and facsimiles; enter and retrieve data as well as prepare letters and memos using pre-packaged software programs; log FOIP requests; maintain files and records and retrieve and search files for information; initiate searches for records and track search progress; identify exemptions within responsive material; sever the material according to program direction and legislated requirements; communicate in writing and verbally with clients, internal staff, and other administrative support teams; and provide general office duties and general program information for the branch.

Familiarity with The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, the application of its exemptions and the process of document redacting/severing is an asset.
