Description

MACSI is an affiliate of the Metis Nation - Saskatchewan and is a non-profit corporation providing alcohol and drug recovery services and counselling programs to Saskatchewan residents.

The Assistant Regional Director is responsible for assisting the Regional Director in all aspects of the operation of the Saskatoon Addicitons Services, which include inpatient, outpatient, day program and youth field services. Reporting to the Regional Director of Sasaktoon Addictions Services, the Assistant Regional Director is part of the MACSI Management team and may, from time to time, be assigned special projects or initiatives reports that have application to all centre's. Inaddition to frontline worker/counselor repsonsibilities, the Assistant Regional Director will have primary responsibility to ensure an integrated continuum of services within the Saskatoon Addicitons Program.  
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have two (2) years continuous sobriety/abstinence;

Business/Administration Certificate or equivalent or Minimum 5 years experience in a business/administrative setting;

A specialization in labour relations and compensation, along with a CHRP designation would be an asset;

Experience working with collective agreements and unions, human rights, employment standards and other related legislation;

Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Office;

Excellent communication, interpersonal, relation, and writing skills;

Proven Administrative skills, knowledge of drug & alcohol abuse;

Experience in payroll;

Interest in, and abilitiy to deal with, problems related to alcohol, drugs and solvents;

Excellant knowledge of Metis and First Nations communities and culture;

Ability to speak Michif or Cree an asset

Must possess a valid drivers license, and;

Must provide a current CPIC Security Clearance.
