RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaison with EPCM company construction manager/engineers & plant mgmt on design/
construction of solution potash mine/mill complex
Developing/managing detailed construction Project Activity, Time & Cost Schedules, ensuring the construction is on time/within budget
Coordinating development of Construction Project OH&S and Fire Prevention programs with Safety & Security Mgr, construction engineers/contractors
Hiring/training/supervising team of construction specialists/technologists/staff
-Assisting in the group development of the Plant Maintenance Program/Safety Management System
Preparing regular reports and assisting upper management in all other required business areas
Assisting in the development of future expansion phases and co-product plant processes
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or Engineering Technologist diploma, or combination of education and experience. Journeyman certificates in one or more trades would be an asset
15 years progressive experience in chemical/ mining industry, with 8 years of potash experience
Knowledge of Saskatchewan and Canadian codes for construction/operating functions
Legally entitled to work in Canada and travel to the U.S. and Germany to review work done by consultants & perform equipment review/inspection with vendors
-Management experience in construction of chemical/mining facilities, particularly within the potash industry
Supervisory experience over other construction specialists, engineers, technologists and trades
Knowledge/experience in developing/implementing plant maintenance programs & safety mgmt systems
Proficiency in English and strong communication skills
