Description

-liaison with EPCM company performing design/
construction of solution potash mine/millcomplex
-managing mechanical design/plant layout & reviewing/recommending features that maximize safety/maintainability/reliability
liaison with plant/mine engineers on plant/brinefield equipment to optomize successful/reliable operations, including field travel to analyze/review equipment issues
-understanding/leading anti-corrosion/wear prevention efforts
-planning/developing future expansion phases & co-product plant processes and analyzing/developing future energy systems including cogeneration & energy management
-supervising mechanical engineers/technologists in completion of requires studies, analyses, designs, equipment selection
-assisting in the group development of the Plant Maintenance Program & Safety Management System
-preparing reports & assisting upper management in all other required business areas

Qualifications:
-Degree in Mechanical Engineering & eligible to register with APEGS
-10-15 year's experience (with 5 years potash)
-eligible for work in Canada and travel to U.S. & Germany to review work done by consultants & perform equipment review/inspection with vendors
-experience in salt processing, particularly potash
-experience in mechanical design/project management in chemical/mining industry
-supervisory experience over process engineers, metallurgists and technologists
Knowledge/experience with effective plant maintenance/safety management systems
-Proficiency in English & strong communication skills
