RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistance with the development and management
of projects for public and private sector clients
related to land development, land use planning,
environmental assessment, First Nations
consultation, sustainable community design and
urban redevelopment
Technical contribution to multidisciplinary
project teams including planners, environmental
scientists, engineers and technologists
Assistance with development and coordination of
public and agency consultation programs
Assistance with development and enhancement of
client relationships and business growth in
Saskatchewan, in particular with First Nations and
municipalities, and land development and real
estate clients
QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in planning, geography or a related
field, preferably at the Masters level
Three to five years of experience, preferably
including some experience in the consulting
industry
Full or provisional membership in the Canadian
Institute of Planners (CIP) an asset
EXPERIENCE
Experience in land use planning and development,
sustainable community design, urban redevelopment,
and planning policy
Experience in environmental assessments for
infrastructure related to transportation, water
supply, wastewater treatment, energy transmission
and/or waste management
Demonstrated success working in
multidisciplinary teams
Good working knowledge of the development
industry, the land development process, and
municipal planning policy
Familiarity with federal and provincial
environmental assessment legislation and approval
requirements
Strong communication, report writing,
organization and interpersonal skills

- Prepare and recommend land development concepts and plans for zoning, subdivisions, transportation, public utilities, community facilities, parks, agricultural and other land uses
- Present plans to civic, rural and regional authorities and hold public meetings
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Membership in a provincial or territorial planning institute
- Membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners
