EXPECTATIONS: Successful completion of our Store of Learning Program; Effectively lead, coach & develop a team of up to 40 people, or more; Manage P&L, execute operations & merchandising standards of excellence in up to 8 departments; Execute merchandising programs to meet schedule & standards of excellence; Work in a team environment involving customers & employees to continually improve the way we do business.
QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years management experience in a mass merchandising, grocery or wholesale retail business or food & hospitality business; Ability to model Wal-Mart's three basic beliefs: Respect for the Individual, Service to the Customers & Striving for Excellence;Displays sound integrity even in difficult circumstances; Proven leadership results - leading, coaching & developing large & diverse teams;
Strong knowledge of operations required. Merchandising expertise is an asset; Experience in managing P&L, forecasting & budgeting; Flexibility to commute and/or relocate is preferred; Experience in Change Management within a high-pressure environment; Strong communication skills;Track record of exceptional customer service focus; Proven leader of people-able to motivate & develop through honest and open feedback; Ability to get results in a fast-paced, change oriented, high pressure environment;Highly organized, disciplined & able to multi-task;Willingness to work days, evenings, nights & weekends-variable 40 hr per week retail schedule.
