Description

The Town of La Ronge is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to perform the duties of Airport Manger for Barber Field Airport. One of the busiest airports in Saskatchewan, Barber Field Airport averages approximately   25000 aircraft movements annually.  The airport supports three commercial airline services and is home to the Saskatchewan Provincial Air Tanker Base for forest fire suppression.  

Some Duties of the Airport Manager include:
    Control and maintenance of 2 runways and groundside maintenance of roadways
    Maintenance of all airfield lighting systems
    Operation and maintenance of the Air Terminal Building, Water Storage and Treatment Building, Field Electrical System, Equipment Maintenance Shop and Sand Shed
    Preparation and monitoring of operating and capital budgets
    Responsible to invoice for monthly landing fees
    Maintain and amend manuals including the Airport Operations Manual and Emergency Procedures Manual.
    Maintain Canada Flight Supplement, Canadian Aviation Regulations Part III and Aeronautical Information Publication, Canada.
    Development and implementation of Safety Management System as required by Transport Canada

Minimum Requirements:
    Grade 12
    Class 3A drivers license
    Restricted Radio Operators Certificate
    Experience in operation and maintenance of heavy equipment
    Bondable
    Other aviation related courses an asset
