Description
Located in our Saskatoon office, we require a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead and work on various municipal and mining projects including; mine tailings and waste management, mine water and wastewater networks, pit slope designs, mine facility foundations, storm water management systems and transportation infrastructure projects.
Your Present Skills Will Include:
Extensive first-hand experience in some or all of the following: site exploration, foundation engineering, geotechnical design, tailings dam design, mine pit slope design and embankment dams
Oil sands experience considered an asset
Demonstrated technical leadership abilities/experience with a commitment to technical excellence
Project management and construction administration skills and experience would be an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including experience writing proposals, technical reports, construction specifications and tender documentation
Working knowledge of relevant engineering design standards, codes, best practice guidelines, technical references, regulatory requirements and permit applications
Proven time management, project management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and budgets
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, collaborate and work efficiently with engineers, scientists and managers at all levels, and communicate effectively with clients
Experience training and mentoring staff
Solid track record in developing and sustaining business relationships
Availability to travel within Canada and Internationally
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Masters degree would be an asset
Minimum of 10 years of first-hand work experience in Civil/Geotechnical engineering
Currently registered or eligible for registration as a P. Eng. in Canada
