Description

Under the supervision of the Sports and Facilities Coordinator, the Arena Attendant monitors and maintains the ice rink. He/she responds to inquiries about the facility, hours, regulations and rules, provides information on services provided, ensures safety and enforces rules concerning conduct and use of equipment. He/she also maintains facility logs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma AND some years experience in a related field.
OR
- An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered
AND
- Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications
Language Requirements: English essential, bilingualism (French/English) an asset
Knowledge Requirements:
- of arena operations
- of community centre facilities
- of health and safety practices

Experience Requirements:
- in ice rink maintenance
- in operating ice rink equipment
- in providing customer services
- in using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email and internet browsing
Successful candidate will be prepared to commence employment as soon as possible.
