Mechanical Design Technologist (CAD)
Working with others in the product development department to design electronic products for our telecommunications equipment manufacturing company.
Job will will focus on using CADD programs such as AutoCAD and Inventor (experience with these programs is preferred, but not required) to create detailed design drawings and specifications for electronic equipment enclosures, panels and bays. See our website, as all of the metal rack-mount panels are designed in-house, and this is the main duty of this position.
Other duties (in time, with in-house training) may involve creating illustration drawings, product manuals, simple schematic and circuit board layout, metal work cost estimating and ordering of metal work from our suppliers.
Required:
- Completed a CAD technology course. Please forward marks
- Proficient with the current release of AutoCAD, or similar program.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, as Word is used to create our manuals.
Preferred
- Experience in 3D modeling (Inventor)
- Familiar with MS Excel and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits
